20 Years of Community Stories: Why Peabody TV Matters

For 20 years, Peabody TV has been more than just a television station — it has been a home for community storytelling.

From the very beginning, our mission has been simple: give people the tools, training, and platform to share their voices. Over the years, that mission has grown into something much bigger. Today, Peabody TV is a place where students discover new passions, local artists find an audience, and community members stay connected to what matters most.

Every game broadcast, every podcast recorded, every community event covered represents a story that might not have been told otherwise.

We’ve seen middle school students step into our studios for the first time and leave with confidence and skills that shape their future. We’ve worked with musicians, nonprofits, and local organizations who rely on Peabody TV to amplify their work. We’ve captured moments that define our community — from celebrations to important conversations.

And none of this happens without support.

As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we’re asking our community to help us continue this work through our 20 for 20 campaign.

A simple $20 donation helps ensure that Peabody TV remains a place where anyone — regardless of experience or background — can create, learn, and share their story.

Your contribution helps us continue to:

  • Offer low-cost media education for youth and adults
  • Cover local government meetings, community events, and high school sports
  • Support artists, nonprofits, and small businesses who rely on Peabody TV to tell their stories
  • Provide access to professional media equipment, training, and studio space

Community media only works when the community shows up.
